Part 2

I don't want to be a mouthy brat and say,"not my president!" But I will ask why is it that someone has to lose?  Why is it that in this administration does it seem that it is some kind of war? War with the press, war with anyone that has anything negative to say.   Some kind of Vendetta that came apparent right away after Barack Obama "supposedly"humiliated" Donald Trump at some dinner.  

Lets put the shoe the other foot for a minute.  Was it not for years Mr. Trump (his title at the time) had it out for Then President Obama? His birth place, his right to be an American due to his less than candid declaration of his time spent overseas when his mother was married to husband 2? At that time we all began to see the makings of a dilemma.  The conspiracy theorists began cutting apart pictures of Barack and his family claiming he was a plant. The bloodlines thing and so on. Our Now President elect fueling the flames.  If you want to be a purest wouldn't you say Mr. Trump had it coming?  Disrespecting the Incumbent president?  And this is what I wanted to address in part.  The lack of respect in our public offices.  The screaming and fighting of our wayward young people in the streets over the politics and then when questioned their opinions so off the wall and ignorant you as a thinking individual are in shock and awe, questioning the educational system . How did they get so stupid?  Yet once again we have to Segway to age,  Any of us could have been featured by high times magazine for on campus pot smoking and a lack of direction. Yet, I don't know anyone still smoking and partying,  my peers are for the most responsible tax payers, working and raising families.   However, I never personally tried to shout down a professor, stand in the commons and spew hateful words and get beat up by the police.    

it has to be some kind of vendetta.  I have lost confidence as I see  the fighting, yes we saw that Barack Obama belittled Donald Trump and did not apologize, but did he not have it coming?  he dragged Barack Obamas' personal life through the mud.  Publicly as if to stain him out of spite.   Isn't that what is really going on now?  Two warriors , still stabbing each other at the expense of the American people?  

Sure, Donald Trump can kill Obama care.  But why?  Just tweet it, fix what is wrong with it.  

Everyone knows how they got the numbers to feed to the fish, kill the advertising so no one knows they can still sign up.  Emphasize the penalty which was just to motivate the feet draggers. I am not defending the former Obama administration that hid unemployment figures by not counting the millions that had been unemployed so long they fell off the radar.  This not counted as unemployed any more.  Only those still receiving benefits were counted.  

Or the lack of common sense that Mr. Obama had when it came to foreign relations , making the G8 into a buddy club, pissing off Vladimir Putin to the extent that he left the meetings early. 

No one missed the fact that our greatest friend and ally Great Britains' Queen Elizabeth did not like him, as he missed the subtle clues necessary to observe pomp and circumstance that so dictates that culture. Or possibly everyone did miss the "get behind me David Cameron," attitude as their handsome, popular Prime Minster played second fiddle to his " Royal coolness." Costing him dignity in his own Parliament.

     Having voted For a Democrat

for the first time in my life I rode the wave of Victory in an amazing, magical time.  I was there the day that Barack Obama put his hand on the Bible and swore to uphold the laws of our land as our President. I watched as the cameras panned  to the sea of people that clotted  the avenues as far as ones eye could see.  The first Black President! 

Then it began, the fighting that would leave our nation bewildered and angry enough to bring in someone that is insensitive to the needs of this country in his fulfillment of his promise to,"Make America Great Again."however, in my thinking I am beginning to wonder whose America is he speaking about?
 I am not some kid in my 20s' running out carrying a flag and screaming throwing punches.  I am  a University graduate with degrees and a certainty about life and faith and who I am that reaches far beyond my own estimation as well as my parents.  (Thats a joke, the part about my parents)  Being a pot smoker in high school and doing my share of soft drugs, ditching school and beer bonging rebellion was no stranger to me..  Then something happened, I grew up, got married had babies and raised a family. Just like everyone else, right?  

However, as time has progressed I have realized I was just a cross section of the population of this country.  As an adult I learned of the struggle people of color have had and it began long before I was even a thought in the family line.  Don't label me just yet, I am not a liberal.  I am very much pro life and do not believe that a woman should be able to make a decision to end her child's life because its her body.  I don't come at anything with merely my opinion.  I study everything. I take in account a persons situation, how they came to the conclusion they did and why they feel the way that they do.  What has been a primary factor in peoples decisions, I have found since I have been formulating my ideas, is that people in general are selfish and weak.  Its true, they do not want to take the responsibility for their own behavior.  Throughout history people have been behaving this way.   

Strength and integrity are human qualities that need to be developed.  
Throughout  our past people have needed  the strong and sensible to make decisions for the rest who do not possess those character qualities if not for any other reason we don't end up animating ourselves as a species   One can see it all around them right now. For example, Where have all the trees gone?  The logging industry rather than finally calling it quits is hanging in there considering wild  trees growing in the wilderness needing to be managed(in their minds), have still been making our hillsides bare and dangerous.  Recently where I live,  the town nearest  had a mudslide.  It moved the homes below a hillside, off their foundations. It turned out to be a logging operation. They logged the land above the houses leaving the hillside bare.   Anyone with common sense would have seen that the tress were holding up the hillside and should not have been touched. That by cutting the trees a situation was created that certainly caused the soil retention to be weakened, and the weight of the water swept that soil downward(gravity) onto the homes below, possibly killing people in their beds. 

 Despite public education, that is compulsory in this nation, there are those that don't seem to be able to benefit from it.  Or is it that what is taught in the schools not sufficient?  Or that it turns out persons who cannot understand that you mustn't risk the lives of others to put money in your own pocket? 

This is where we are at with our political scene.  Its all boiling down to money again.  Money is being put on par with human value.

 Here we are in another election year.  The radios and TVs are constantly announcing who is running and how many votes they  are getting as they travel across the USA to rally votes for their campaign:

Yet as they do this our country is not in stasis.  Wars and rumors of wars, China and Russia involved n various actions against Korea and Syria.  War is still raging across the Middle East , Israel is still being bomb by the Palestinian factions.  Japan although has no army is still coming back from a necular disaster.  The whales are washing up on the shores out of a polluted sea.  Michigan still has bad water problems, Texas has mean Sasquatch in the south and the climate is still serving up astonishing weather.  AND The Zika Virus has spread to:

Life goes on Right?   As we weigh out the issues, and weed out the lies,  I remind myself not to forget history.  Under our current President I was out of work and had exhausted my unemployment when  my government reported job sectors up when everyone was really out of work.  I flew all over the country for interviews and all I got was  pneumonia and spent a month in bed.    As congress met twice to renew benefits just as the Federal government shut down for 16 days because it could not function.  FURTHER while i was sick, weakened by stress due to my lack of employment, the President still had his job and was making a mandatory 400,00 , even when the government was officially shut down.  

The news reported that joblessness was down, however, the facts were distorted.  The numbers only included those who were currently on unemployment.  It did not include those who had exhausted their benefits.  

Why is it that we are lied to?  who benefits by the lies and what can we the average citizen do about it?  

Firstly, we must remember that politicians  tell us what we want to hear to get elected.  They have never been President before so how do they know what they can do?  Therefore, one must take a closer look at each candidate and decide if they understand the realities of the way our government works. That they understand  their powers and the powers of the Congress and how  each are meant to work..  Do you know?

Its important to do this especially if you are like me, a product of a failing public school system.  Yet as I grew older I wanted to know more about our political system especially since it  directly effects the way I lead my life, my career, school, my finances, and the laws that effect my everyday life, and the upstanding citizens who live within my community.  

It occurred to me last night that we are very small creatures held here on this planet by a force called gravity. That we are limited by our life spans and have no control over that life or our own mortality.  All we do have is this life that we wake to each day rain or shine, and we need to  be responsible for how each precious day plays itself out.  

We need to be concerned with what happens here and concerned with our actions to produce a legacy that can be left behind for our own prodigy.  Therefore, it is very important that we participate in the political process for their sake if not for our own.  

Look at each and every one of those candidates lives.  

Is "The Donald" an honest man in business dealings?  Sure he wins and gets what he wants, but what price did he pay to do that?  Who was in his way and was everyone treated fairly. The question of eminent domain has come up and many people do not understand that the Federal government can come and take your home away if it is in the best interest of the American people.  However, it is not a case of Eminent Domain when a billionaire buys farmland that has been in generations of peoples families in Scotland to build a Golf Course, and bullies the adjacent landowners because their operating farms do not look like golf courses. Further tells the Scottish Government to move their wind powered turbines in the ocean because they block the view?   Think about how this man will represent us in the world?    Are we going to make a President out of someone who has already embarrassed us all over the world to the extent that the British(people) want  to vote to keep him out of Great Britain.? Does it matter? Do we even care?   I know silly.  Yet, lets ask ourselves why?  Why does Vladimir Putin like him and call him a talented business man and that he would make us an excellent leader.  Vladimir Putin?  Gee I'd boast that one for sure.... No slam intended against Vlad, as you are a worship worthy figure of virility.   But Russia is the country that has been notorious in the past for simply killing their citizens ,starving them to death and leaving Navy men at the bottom of the ocean in a submarine called the Kursk, while specialized help was waiting above to rescue them! .http://www.rferl.org/content/kursk-disaster-putin-turning-point-russia/27184505.html 

As an American Citizen I want to review what is important to me and put my candidate under the microscope to see how their ideals compare to mine.  I want to know that my nation is not going to be seen as the devil of the west for our attitudes about killing the unborn and discarding our elderly.  I ask myself, "why doesn't Ted Cruise talk about  my issues? " Why did Chris Christie insult Marco Rubio saying he was inexperienced and not worthy of being the President of the United States.  How does he qualify that statement?  Is that a viable thing to say?  

In my mind Senator Rubio won the confidence of the peoples of Florida by being the man he already is. Supporting the issues and interests of  the people who voted for him, working to change the system to function correctly to the satisfaction of the people he represents, and being an effective representative of the people that sent him to Washington.     

I continue to remind myself no matter how much I like the other candidates who are running for President on the Republican ticket including Jeb Bush and Dr. Carson, (As well as Chris Christie: who gave an impassioned speech about the rights of the unborn that had me standing beside the TV shouting AMEN! ) that I am responsible for making an informed decision and making my vote count! 

I ask myself who understands government and how it works? Which one of the candidates will be able to work with congress to make the kind of  positive changes to a system that has gone wrong, that will make a difference in my life and the lives of my family.  

I keep asking these questions knowing at some point I will pull that lever with confidence knowing

 One thing for certain, it won't be for the lessor of two evils.
